Akiree’ M Pointer, Engineman Fireman Recruit, left the USS John C. Stennin and sailed through heaven’s gates on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
Akiree’ was born May 1, 1995 in Bolivar County, Mississippi, to Lonneka Taiwo.
One thing that should bring us all comfort is that Akiree’ accepted Christ at an early age. He had his own special relationship with God.
Akiree’ was an extremely loyal person who cared deeply about people and was deliberate in his expression of love for his family and friends. He was an awesome big brother, an amazing friend and very dependable. Akiree’ was a huge sport fan, and proudly supported all Texas teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys.
Lo’s Jewel Foundation honors and thank you Engineman Fireman Recruit Akiree’ M. Pointer, you made the ultimate sacrifice for the United States of America and our freedom. So We Dedicate LJFI back to you for your service. May 01, 1995 – November 25, 2017

To establish an organization to lead and provide resources by partnering with schools, churches and community centers, with a proactive approach, the entire family scope can be reached thru prevention, intervention and counseling resolution.
CEO Lonneka Miller personally witnessed two to three Years of depression, frustration, lack of support and lack of resources as my own daughter struggled with some serious teenage issues within the school system. For any families that are dealing with these challenges, there is no help, no direction or any assistance. As I struggled to get my child the help she needed, I realized that the true, helpful, needed and necessary connections were all missing or completely hidden from the public.
The very last straw for most parents and students result from the solution being “alternative school”. Once you have been sentenced to “Alternative school” all sorts of helpful organizations started to be introduced to me. I was wondering why the helpful resources are not introduced until “alternative school” is the only option available.
Lo’s Jewel Foundation will be the organization that provides the proactive approach for all sorts of challenges facing our children.
Provide information for Parents, Schools, Churches and Community prior to major problems developing. Provide the tools necessary to build relationships in families and in the community. Plans for the redirection of funds from building prisons to proactively participating in the children growth and development before it is too late. Plans to build Partnerships with organization who provide the services and create a bridge for information to flow both ways so that the community can be helped as a whole.
Some Lo’s Jewel Foundation’s Core Services
Lo’s Jewel Foundation in Lagos, Nigeria
Lo’s Jewel Foundation, Inc was birth here in Houston, Texas in 2017. There was a great need to assist, bridge and connect individuals with information and resources that would be better utilized if presented as intervention and prevention. All of the many projects that LJFI is doing for the community and will continue to achieve, it just doesn’t seem to be enough. The foundation in 2018 saw a need far beyond the community, the state and the U.S. The foundation saw a need in Lagos, Nigeria. Lo’s Jewel Foundation has plans to expand our services to Lagos, Nigeria and continue to walk In The Spirit of Excellence everywhere God leads and directs Lo’s Jewel Foundation, Inc.
